Friendly Reminder (Parking)

Greetings Friends & Neighbors!

As we move into the warmth of summertime, many of us will be out and about more often. School is ending soon so that means that more of our kids will be enjoying outdoor activities in our neighborhood. Bike riding, roller blading, jogging (and did I see someone on an Electric One Wheel skateboard!?) are all things that we like to do here in Nature’s Trail.

A friendly reminder that our roads are not designed for or intended for parking. When vehicles are parked on the road, it creates a safety hazard for those enjoying the neighborhood, particularly if there are two vehicles on opposite sides of the road. There simply is not safe room for vehicles to be parked and vehicles in motion and if we include bike riders, joggers, kids etc, we have a lot of potential for a close call or even an accident. Here is the relevant reminder from the covenants:

6.4. Vehicles. The term “vehicles,” as used herein, shall include, without limitation, motor homes, boats, trailers, motorcycles, minibikes, scooters, go-carts, trucks, campers, buses, vans, recreational vehicles, tractors, mowers and automobiles. All vehicles shall be parked within garages, driveways or other approved areas. Street parking is prohibited (emphasis added).

As our property management team does their covenant drive throughs, if there is a vehicle street parked by your home, the homeowner will be subject to covenant enforcement action including fines. The intent is not to fine anyone at all, but to create a safe neighborhood we can all enjoy while outside. Please help out by doing your part and parking in your garage or on your driveway.

Thank you for helping to keep our neighborhood a great place to live!
