Event Description

Hello Friends!

You have a wonderful opportunity to meet up with your friends and neighbors as well as helping to beautify your neighborhood! Unfortunately, most of us have noticed the common area of the drainage ditch that spans from Gimlet over to Bowdock. When they turned over the HOA to us, the developers left us in a very bad spot and failed to clean the area as they were required to do. Attempts to get the developer to fix the issue were not successful, so we are taking matters into our own hands.

After receiving quotes from landscaping companies ranging from $9k-$12k, the Board realized that the only way to raise that amount of money would be a special assessment on each homeowner which would range from $60-$90 per homeowner. Instead of going this route, the Board is hoping to get the ditch area cleaned without having to levy an assessment. In order to avoid that, we need the neighborhood’s help!

Please join us at the ditch area on Gimlet at 10 AM on Saturday, April 9th. The HOA Board members will be leading/organizing the work to get it done as quickly as possible. Once cleaned and cleared, the current landscaping contract will then work to keep the area in good order.

Items that are needed: please bring garden rakes, shovels, weed eaters (gas powered), garbage bags, Garden Carts/wheelbarrows, hedge trimmers etc. Recommend dressing in long pants/sleeves and heavy work gloves are recommended. Many hands make light work! So the more neighbors we can get helping the faster this will go and the more fun we’ll have. Looking forward to seeing as many folks as we can get to help us clear this unsightly mess from our neighborhood.
